Easter holidays

The Easter holidays are almost upon us, and while most of the break will be spent eating hot cross buns and chocolate eggs, we’ve rounded up some other ways to keep your little bunnies occupied, on the cheap!

Easter is a perfect time to get crafty. Think beyond egg decorating and bonnet making, and try these  15 easy Easter crafts to keep little hands busy . We particularly like these paper cup bunnies and chicks.

Burn off the sugar rush by hunting for more chocolate! Search Blaise Castle House Museum and Gardens to find hidden clues in their free Eggcellent Easter egg hunt.  There's a chocolate egg for every child who completes the trail.

Or enjoy a creative afternoon of free Easter crafts at The Holburne Musem inspired by their latest exhibition. Activities include egg decorating and puppet making.

If it's possible to get sick of Easter eggs, then At-Bristol have a choc-free alternative with their free outdoor screening of 'The BoxTrolls'. Bring a picnic and watch the film on the big screen in Millennium Square.

In South Gloucestershire, the libraries have an action packed programme of events throughout the Easter holidays. including themed storytimes, rhymetimes and crafts.

Easter wouldn’t be Easter if you didn’t whip up a batch of Easter egg nests using a well-known breakfast cereal. But we also like the sound of this Sweet Shop bark or these Easter biscuits. Yum!
